It can be so useful!
his Digital Wireless Microscope has a USB port and a WiFi adapter so that I can use it on a computer or a smartphone. That wide range of supported devices makes it versatile and suitable for use in fieldwork, where I may find myself far from a computer. This model also has good magnification, going from 50x to 1000x, in theory.
In practice, it requires special software to work. I am using Windows 10, and I was able to download the software (camera.zip) from their website mentioned in the manual. The software is portable and does not need any installation. The IOS app was good too, and I was able to take pictures and videos from zoomed samples. It also has excellent lighting. Bright light means you can make out more detail and get better images. The only thing I don’t like is that it requires repeated calibration with its measuring tool.
You should not expect a high professional microscope proficiency from this little device. It does the job, and I think it can be a nice gift for kids and older people who cannot see well.
Pros
Wireless
Good magnification
Wide range of compatible devices
Cons
